Life Trockenrasen: EU LIFE

LIFE is the only EU funding programme that exclusively supports projects in the field of environmental protection and nature conservation, as well as climate protection. The programme primarily supports pilot and demonstration projects for the implementation, development and improvement of the environment in the European Union. It is one of the flagships of EU environmental policy. Since 1992, well over 5,000 projects have benefited from the support of LIFE. Beneficiaries of LIFE projects include small and international companies, national and local authorities, associations and organisations, research institutions and intergovernmental bodies.

LIFE Trockenrasen is one such LIFE nature project that contributes to the conservation and development of the Natura 2000 network. The project team implements measures at Natura 2000 sites in the federal state of Brandenburg.
