Life Trockenrasen: Habitat types

Forests, rivers, lakes, peatlands, heaths, meadows and dry grasslands are habitats that are protected by the Habitats Directive. The Habitats Directive covers 231 habitat types across Europe. Some habitat types are prioritised (*). They enjoy special protection by the Habitats Directive.

39 of the 231 habitat types occur in Brandenburg. With LIFE Trockenrasen, we are supporting the federal state of Brandenburg in the conservation and development of the dry grassland and heathland habitat types presented below.
